The Japan IT team within Global IT Support Services is focused on ensuring IT outcomes are aligned with Business Objectives. Some of our key partners include Global Real Estate &amp; Facilities - Japan (REF-Japan), Finance, Oracle Support Services (OSS), Applications IT (AIT), Oracle On Demand, and the Development IT groups (ADI, STIT). The BSDG supports the overall Oracle mission in Japan by developing and supporting applications and tools to support the business processes and operations of our partners.


Job Description:

Oracle Japan’s Finance department uses the Sales Commission System (SCS) to calculate the incentive bonuses for the various Oracle Japan Sales Reps. The system looks at various attributes and parameters to calculate the variable compensation (incentive bonus). The output of this system is sent to another team for final processing to ensure the proper compensation is paid out. 

BSDG develops and supports the application and is planning to either enhance the current system or build an updated, more flexible version.
 
An application developer will perform the development tasks for the system enhancement, including but not limited to the following:

- System Design - Learn the fundamental design of the current system and evaluate enhancement requests.
- System Development- The system will be built on Oracle technology most likely using a Linux OS. 
- Ongoing Operations - The technical management of the system will need to be handed over to Japan IT Operations. As such operational readiness documentation and training will need to be created as appropriate.
