The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating all product strategies and roadmaps to their carrier partners. The Carrier Product Manager will become intimate with the product strategies and plans of the carrier and work to influence the positioning and success of products and services within the carrier’s plans. The incumbent will act as the primary point of contact within Product Management for their carriers. The individual will be interfacing directly with their carrier partners on product requirements, portfolio roadmaps, and product marketing plans. Key to all these responsibilities is the product manager’s ability to manage the relationships between various stakeholder groups at the carrier. The Product Manager will support their carrier to ensure complete understanding of the product offerings and work closely with the carrier create an integrated marketing and product strategy which drives success in the enterprise and retail markets today and tomorrow. The Product Manager will be driving the launch of new products/services, successful in-life programs as well as managing activities involved with end of life.

Channel Sales Manager - Enterprise and SI Responsibilities: - Forge high level relationships with channel partners and SIers in Japan - Meeting monthly/quarterly/annual territory revenue requirements. - Building and maintaining sales pipeline and forecast for opportunities - Organize channel training to educate, motivate, and activate sales people through use of our channel sales tools. - Identify major projects within channel partners and co-ordinate our activities through pre-sales, consulting etc to maximize our product & services sales. - Identify new partners to work with in Japan - Identify and promote joint channel partner consulting projects. - Initiate joint business planning and marketing plans with partners, individual responsibility for a sales objective.

Major Requirements * Education - H/W or S/W Engineer Technical Background & Experience * Telecommunication networks - Access (Voice & data), NMS * Data communication - IP networking, Voice Over IP (VOIP), ATM * Radio networks - BWA, FWA, Cellular... * At least 4 years experience Foreign Languages * English - read, write, speak Sales / Marketing Environment * Experience in working with operators, carriers, ISP and SI * Technical-commercial mind set * High-level presentation (frontal as well as writing) capabilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking complex system level issues related to UMTS/HSDPA handhelds. The person will be required to influence software changes based on analysis of these problems. You will write and carryout test plans to verify the wireless protocols features/functions for wireless handhelds, as well as conduct end-to-end system level testing. You will be required to travel occasionally and establish good customer relations. You will generate test reports and follow ups on issues found during testing, analyze logs and find the root cause of the problem. You will also participate in the testing with a wireless carrier and work with them to launch the service, mentor junior staff, attend meetings, handle presentations and update the group members whenever required. You will also influence the wireless standards related to your job activities and participate in advanced research projects in your area.
