1. Reconciling positions, market values and P&L on a book by book basis. 2. Liaising with the Front Office, Operations, Risk and IT to make sure that any corrections are made in the appropriate system 3. Looking at trades in detail to find out reasons why the marks are different including underlying stock prices, volatilities and all inputs to the models 4. Making sure bookings and valuations are consistent between the Front Office system and Back Office system 5. Some production and analysis of daily P&L may also be required 6.
