Overview of position:	
The position focuses on pro-actively marketing and cultivating new internship/job opportunities for students, together with setting up career fairs and events with the support of the Career Development team. Working closely with the managers of related business programs, it also requires networking/prospect searching, including company visits and participating in external career fairs. Additional activities include scheduling interviews and counseling students.

Primary responsibilities:
		Introduce TUJ and its students to Japanese and non-Japanese companies at the executive level 
		Conduct market research to find and develop prospective employment opportunities 
		Plan and organize workshops for resume writing, career guidance seminars, career fairs, and other appropriate events
		Provide information to assist students in their job search 
		Counsel students in their career development and goals
		Screen job applications and schedule interviews

The coordinator will also assist with student orientations, cross-cultural events, and other university activities. The coordinator will manage student records and databases, assist with student evaluations and reports, and participate in the development of content for publications and the website. The coordinator will also work closely with other advisors in the Office of Student Services, the Academic Counseling Office (student recruiting), Office of Admissions, and Academic Advising Center.

It is expected that one of the posts will be filled by an individual qualified to teach contemporary US foreign policy and international relations.  TUJ has also identified a need for teaching expertise in International Political Economy/the politics of globalization.  Knowledge of one or more East Asian countries would be an asset.

TUJ seeks a motivated and outgoing Admissions Counselor for the domestic Japanese market to support university recruiting and advising prospective students. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for all aspects of recruiting with a focus on Japanese high schools nationwide. The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and sales and/or marketing experience. Although previous experience in the education sector is preferred, it is not essential. Some weekend work and travel will likely be required.

Primary responsibilities:
		Prepare and give presentations about TUJ to prospective students, parents, school counselors, academic institutions, and other entities
		Provide individual counseling, school tours, and follow-up for prospective students, parents and counselors 
		Communicate with prospective students and advise on admissions procedure
		Organize open campus events, class observation events, and other special events with other team members
