
Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Job Purpose:
Working from within the Support department to provide technical (software and hardware) support on Security’s products to end users and development partners. Providing technical knowledge to sales staff in but not limited to customer meetings.
Main Responsibilities to include, but not be limited to:
* Provide reliable technical assistance to customers and partners with the integration and use of Security’s products.
* Maintenance of knowledge of OS and applications supported by Security products.
* Maintenance of customer records, and open issues, on support database.
* Preparing and delivering presentations to customer/partners.
* Support internal and external sales representatives on technical issues.
* Make occasional on-site visits to customers or trade shows, where warranted.
Skills:
* IT/system administration qualifications an advantage.
* Experience in development of C or Java programs an advantage.
* English language fluency (need to liaise with UK support/development team)
* Knowledge of UNIX (critical) and Windows 2000/2003
* Knowledge of internet security and/or PKI an advantage.
* Experience of 1 or more web server applications (IIS, iPlanet, Apache, etc.) an advantage.
* Good interpersonal, written and verbal presentation skills.
* Self-starter with ability to work as part of a small, close-knit team.
