Our client is one of the world’s premier retail companies, and one of the top foreign brands in Japan. They have a large number of stores throughout Japan and continues to grow and expand.

They are currently looking for a Distribution Planner who will play a key role in the ongoing success of the organization.

General Summary:

-Creating and implementing plans for merchandising, marketing or distribution plans for supporting financial goals.
-Cross-functionally cooperate and make sure that appropriate allocation strategies are implemented.
-Maintain field leadership and close relationship with stores and improve merchandise distribution strategies.

Responsibilities:

-Contribute to achieve financial goals by hitting targets for sales, gross margin, Gross Margin Return On Investment and inventory turnover.
-Integrate, analyze and transmit sizes and performances by districts including comparison for sales rate to the inventory, seasonality, marketing effect etc.
-Quantify volume of size levels and profit opportunities through analysis.
-Create distribution strategies for the department and expand opportunities by districts.
-Transmit valid inbound receipts and track.
-Announce initial inventory and plan, direct, implement replenishment for each season.
-Plan division strategies for size-balance, packing, playback products within many kinds of inventories in purchase order process.
-Cooperate with cross-functional team and clarify inventory ownership strategies for basic style (control complement planning to achieve inventory target).
-Cooperate with cross-functional team to implement assortment for new stores and keep quantities timely and also accurately.
-Learn performances and trends for each district and store through data analysis and communication with fields.
-Be involved in company initiatives when needed.
-Effectively control distribution analysts to improve work satisfaction, future HR development, employees’ retention rate and support career development process.
-Provide timely, well-balanced practical directionality and feedback to direct report to develop abilities and improve performance.

Requirement:

-Establish and maintain productive relationship with business partners beyond multiple cultures.
-Clarify problem areas for business and propose solutions by making persuasive presentations.
-Ability to adjust to changes in fast-paced work environment.
-Ability to clearly understand how logistics strategies influence business.
-Good listener, excellent comprehension, effective communication ability and ability to set appropriate priorities.
-Ability to use PC including ability to quickly learn and understand technical applications.
-Knowledge of distribution system and table calculation.
-Ability to balance work volume and those priorities to meet deadlines.
-Logical analytical faculty and problem solving skills
-Bachelor degree or more than equivalent
-1-2 yrs of experience as Distribution Analyst (or in equivalent position)
-Supervisor experience preferred
