- The role of the Operational Risk Analyst is to conduct Operations aligned risk assessments and control
- Guide/support Securities Operations to comply with any Legal/regulatory requirements (SOX 404 etc) if necessary
- Act as Control Model in Operational Risk Control activities
- Support/supervise Securities Operations team to establish appropriate Operational Risk Control environment and become self sufficient to control risks there in
- Build a network of mutually supportive relationships across the front office, operations, controlling and technology
- On an ongoing and regular basis (monthly), perform risk assessments on the key performance statistics. From an analysis of these, he/she will be expected to make the necessary connections to highlight specific areas of operational risk exposure
- Highlight areas of control breakdown and weakness within the larger operating environment
- He/she together with their immediate management will be expected to suggest mitigating actions against the risk exposure or control weakness encountered
- The comprehensive assessment of these will be formally agreed with representatives of the line operation and will then be formally discussed at a forum, which will comprise of interested parties from the different functional areas of the product
- Develop reports to be distributed to global and regional operations management
- Analyze losses encountered by operations and put in place mitigating controls

- 3 years of Operational Risk Management /Control
- 5 years+ of working experience at financial institutions in Operations
- Wide range of Securities products knowledge
- Excellent Networking / Interpersonal skill
- Proactive/motivated and be able to work independently/Time Management skill
- Analytical skills
- Microsoft Excel/PPT proficiency
- Few years at Consultant/Audit firms would be a plus
- Accounting knowledge
- Presentation skills
- Fluent Japanese and Fluent English
