In the software development department’s PA/Medical product team, you will participate in the analysis, development and testing of our call center and internet application. This business application supports two of latest products introduced in Japan.

The member’s major responsibility involves the maintenance and new projects of this business application built on Java and struts framework. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join with us.

The candidate is expected to first understand the application’s technology and business logic and then start to do maintenance work (fixing defects, adding new features). And in the future, he is also expected to take part
in some projects.

Profile required:

Academic qualification in computer science, or similar.
At least 6-7+ years software development experience.
At least 4-5+ years Java application development experience.
At least 1-2 years work experience on Oracle PL/SQL.
Full exposure to Software development lifecycle.


Knowledge in the following areas is required [mandatory]:
- Knowledge of design patterns.
- Object oriented analysis and design with working knowledge of UML.
- Java/J2EE programming skills, including experience building web applications using Servlets, JDBC, JSP, Struts, EJB, JUNIT, Oracle on Windows as well as Linux platforms.
- Experience with HTML, XML and JavaScript.
- Experience with WebLogic 8/9.2 or other Java Web/J2EE Containers.

Preferred optional Profile:
- 4+ years of experience of related programming experience.
- 1 year of experience with development in JUnit.
- High level in English reading, writing and speaking.
- Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to various environments.
- Ability to work in an international team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Achiever/doer and problem solver.
- Excellent understanding of general data structures and algorithms.
- Experience to work with offshore/onsite model.
- Experience in working on maintenance projects.

Knowledge in the following areas is nice-to-have:
- - Windows 2000/2003, Linux (Red Hat).
- Oracle & SQL programming.
- Test driven development experience.
- Agile development methodology experience.
- Copy-Modify-Merge Source Control.
- Experience working in waterfall or iterative development methodologies.
- Japanese lingual skills will be a plus.
