Our client is one of the world’s leading retail finance organizations, operating in various countries and preparing to launch in Japan.

The position is based in Tokyo and reports to the Strategic Development Officer. The job holder will set up and manage the Change Management function. The Change Management function entails three core elements:

-The prioritization of change: to facilitate the process of selecting the right change initiatives across all departments, based on the cost/benefit analysis method. Change initiatives range from large programs (e.g. new product lines), projects (developing additional products or functions) to small, incremental changes (e.g. process efficiency gains, enhancing user functionality)

-Scheduling and tracking the selected change initiatives: to ensure that the selected change initiatives are scheduled according to priority as well as capacity. This will result in a roadmap which allows the company to oversee all change initiatives, understand resource and capacity requirements and bottlenecks. The roadmap should also be used to track progress.

-Implementation of change initiatives: the incumbent is responsible for the implementation of the change initiatives on time, within budget, according to agreed scope and quality expectations. As such, the job holder will organize the appropriate program, project or release teams and will either oversee the implementation or will ensure that the right resources are appointed.

In this role the incumbent will set up and functionally manage a cross-functional release implementation team, which is responsible for the implementation of the regular releases and which will have representation of all departments involved in regular releases.

Furthermore, the job holder will be involved in the set-up of the change management process, which starts at the analysis and prioritization of change and ends at the implementation and evaluation of change.

Lastly, the incumbent will manage cross-functional projects if and when required. There are already a number of projects scheduled to be implemented. For 2008, this includes (a.o.) ACI, SOX implementation, new savings products.

スキル・資格

Indispensable (Must-Haves)
1)Total minimum experience of three years in change management and/or lead role in at least 3 projects, in a consulting firm with financial services focus or with financial institutions.
2)Strong Japanese and English language skills.
3)Strong logical communication and presentation skills. Experience presenting at boardroom level.

Important (some compromises possible)
4)Graduated from a quality university
5)Experience of managing at least two staff for at least two years.
6)IT project management experience, interfacing between the business and IT sides.
7)Experience working in foreign capital firms and keen interest in continuing a career in such.

Desirable
8)Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent
9)Detailed knowledge of the business development process in a retail banking environment.
10)Experience working in banking.
