The IT Engineer will be responsible for providing systems support primarily to the company’s system (Oracle) and warehouse system users. In this role, the person will be required to understand the business needs of the department and to implement the appropriate technology solutions.

The primary duties include manage the implementation of system enhancements, day to day system operation and trouble shooting of excising systems.

Responsibilities include:

Gathering the requirements, support the configuration of store POS system, back office systems.
Providing the technical support / user training / implementation of customized Windows PC system and management including preparation of user manuals and system documentation.
Partner closely with US and IT team to provide the technical support for store POS, merchandising management system, data warehouse system and warehouse management systems.
Partner with the business to understand and prioritize information needs, and translate business requirements into systems solutions.
Plan, manage and implement various projects supporting business partner requirements.
Day to day system operation and trouble shooting may require.

Successful candidate would likely have:

Some leadership experience and a thorough understanding of UNIX and Windows Operating system including IIBM AIX, Windows 2003 and XP.
Merchandising system and Warehouse management system development or support experiences are preferred.
Strong communication and facilitation skills in Japanese and also require basic business conversation level of English, experience in partnering with business users and other IT team members to implement systems solutions.
Experience in leading or member of several IT projects.
Strong inter-personal and organization skills and customer service skills
Good understanding, desire and ability to delve further into cross-functional issues.
Merchandising System and / or Warehouse Management System experience desired
Software localization experience desired
