
This person will work in the Investment Technology group in Japan, managing a small team of business/systems analysts who work on a broad range of applications supporting the Investments department. In addition to organizing the workload for the analysis team, the manager will personally managing large initiatives which often involve multiple groups. Another key responsibility will be to serve as the "project office" for all projects.
Business Analysis team manager:
Organize the workload, manage project plans, and provide direction to other analysts working on a broad range of systems tools, in support of fund managers, portfolio services specialists, research analysts, and operational staff.
Serve as mentor to managers on the team, demonstrating project management and team cooperation skills.
Provide direction and/or lead analysis to resolve issues as necessary for production problems.
Project leader / Sr. Business Analyst:
Lead strategic initiatives as required by the department, serving as project manager and/or lead business analyst. The focus of these projects is most often for portfolio management tools, which are primarily developed in Japan.
Required:
15+ years in IT with a focus on financial applications, with at least 5 years of systems management experience.
Very well organized with attention to detail. Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to train others on these skills.
Strong communication skills in English and problem solving skills.
Good technical understanding of systems and application architecture.
Flexible team player.
Knowledge of Investment business, and systems analysis experience.
