As a Pre-Sales Engineer you will be responsible for providing pre-sales support to existing and potential customers. You would apply your technical expertise in support of the sale of company’s software and services, managing exiting customers and develop new customers. You will utilize your excellent technical and relationship building skills in working with vendors, partners and sales to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to customers.

You will perform the following activities to support the sales process:

Identify customer technical needs and requirements
Communication with customers, provide technical support and solutions
Giving presentations on and demonstrations of products
Providing informal advice on what products might fulfill the customer?s needs
Writing formal documents such as proposals and targeted white papers
Serving as first point of contact for non-routine technical issues at major accounts
Assisting salespeople with the creation and execution of an overall sales strategy

The successful candidate would likely have:

Consulting or pre-sales experience is highly preferable
Experience in Web Application Development
Working knowledge in Network Protocols (TCP/IP, SOAP, http etc.)
Experience in data base design (Oracle, SQL) and/or system migration
Programming skills in Windows, UNIX, C++, JAVA is preferable but not required.
Strong language skills in both Japanese and English is required
