The candidate will be responsible for daily accurate/timely settlement of JGB and other domestic FID instruments inclusive of loans



The position will be responsible for:


Supervising the Domestic FID Settlement Group (4 staff)
Closely working with the VP for objective setting, development and performance review of the staff
Coordinating with other groups in Ops or relevant departments for smooth operations of his/her responsible area
Working with the VP to plan and drive strategic changes or mandatory changes
Ensuring internal policy/rules as well as regulatory compliance is adhered to in the area of responsibility
Ensuring identified risks are adequately controlled by controls implemented to mitigate operational risks
Ensuring that the Team members provide adequate client service to internal/external clients when performing the daily tasks as agreed with the VP

Attributes/Qualifications for the position:


More than about 5+ years of FID Middle Office or/and Settlement experience
Experience of managing around 2 - 5 people
Client Centricity Mind-set
Change/open mind-set for efficiency increase
Good understanding of both Domestic Income Products, and if possible loan products
Control focus and understanding of regulatory requirements
Ability to understand and address issues & needs within the Operations team and other BO department members
Ability to analyze/resolve problems and provide solution to the Team
