My client is one of the the world’s largest fund managers. With a significant international presence, the firm has more than 10 offices worldwide and a workforce of over 3000. My client provides a superior choice of investments focusing on active, index and asset allocation strategies, as well as services including liability driven investment, currency strategies, cash management, securities lending, hedging strategies, transitions and commodities trading.

This opportunity is for my client’s Tokyo office.

Reports to:
Line Manager

Responsibilities:
- Provide systems development and technology support for fund management processes
- Work closely with users to understand requirements and operating environment
- Determine and develop appropriate solutions
- Support to the Portfolio Managers
- Work with users to maintain list of IT requests / issues
- Liaise closely with Global Technology teams

Requirements:
- 3+ years experience on Visual Basic; VBA, and SQL (Sybase Preferred)
- Java and web technology (J2EE) preferred
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Functional Competency: Understanding of and experience in Financial market and Investment vehicles
- Knowledge of the Asset Management business preferred

Language Skills:
- Japanese: Preferred, but not mandatory
- English : Fluent
