·Advising senior management regarding regulatory risks

·Overseeing development and implementation of the company’s compliance programs, policies and procedures

·Managing and supervising the compliance department and the compliance officer

·Representing the company as a primary liaison in working with the global legal and compliance teams

·Developing and managing company contacts and relations with regulators, industry associations and other external organizations, particularly in relation to

·Preparation and coordination for regulatory inspections

·Introduction of new businesses, products and services

·Preparation and response to changes in laws, regulations and industry practice affecting the company’s businesses

·Providing legal and risk analysis in the development of new businesses, products and services

·Monitoring and studying the developments in laws, regulations, regulatory environment and industry practice, etc. and give appropriate guidance to the board and senior management

·General authority to make decisions regarding imminent legal and compliance risks

·Work closely with the fund managers and other business side senior staff to analyse and defend against compliance risks

·At least 7 years in the compliance field, and preferably 3 or 4 years in a Managerial role in the compliance department of an investment trust management company

·A Law, Finance or Economics degree will be an advantage

·At least 5 years experience in the investment trust management industry

·Experience managing and mentoring staff

Our Banking & Finance Division services the full financial services industry from bulge bracket investment banks to retail banks and fund managers and is responsible for the recruitment of financial services executives, lawyers (both local and overseas admitted) at all levels from Legal Counsels through to Regional General Counsels, compliance officers at all levels from junior compliance officers up to Regional Heads of Compliance, also documentation officers, paralegals and mid-office personnel positions.
