An exceptional opportunity for someone who has built up a career in audit and risk - to lead the setting up of the tokyo office of a major global organization specialized in fiduciary services, fund administration and other financial services on behalf of multinational companies, private equity and real estate firms, private investors and/or their advisors. Presently the organization employs more than 4,000 people in more than 70 offices worldwide.

The Private Equity & Real Estate team is setting up an operational office in Tokyo. The Tokyo office will provide a wide range of corporate and administration services to Japanese Special Purpose Vehicles (“SPVs”) that are ultimately owned by international private equity and real estate fund managers. The services include SPV formation, provision of registered office and local directors, company secretarial services, accounting and financial reporting as well as other typical SPV administration services. Therefore we are looking for a talented, motivated and pro-active

You will co-manage the Tokyo office and you will coach and supervise a group of lawyers, accountants and secretarial staff that administers a portfolio of SPVs. Your will strive to provide high quality services to our clients. You are highly responsive face-to-face, by phone and/or e-mail and you have a proactive attitude towards internal and external needs. You actively contribute in maintaining and expanding the business and help to maintain and improve the businesses operational procedures.

Your key tasks and responsibilities are:
- Coaching and supervising of staff
- Reviewing statutory accounting in JGAAP
- Reviewing conversion of JGAAP to IFRS
- Reviewing financial reporting
- Communication with clients and handling client requests
- Liaison with clients’ advisors such as auditors, tax consultants and lawyers
- Ensuring compliance with Japanese laws and regulations

スキル・資格

- Independent and autonomous professional attitude, with strong academic record from a leading Japanese University
- Over five years experience in Japanese GAAP and IFRS with an international financial services company
- Knowledge of US-GAAP is considered a plus
- Well organized, good administrative skills, eye for detail
- Excellent presentation skills, both written and oral
- Strong team player that demonstrates maturity, perseverance and commercial sense
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Real estate experience is considered a plus
- Fluent Japanese and English are a must
