Our client is a major force in the world’s Real Estate Capital markets with $47.9 billion of assets under management invested in private real estate, both separate accounts and commingled funds, and publicly listed real estate securities.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing M&A opportunities which include:
- Corporate opportunities for the firms commingled funds and separate accounts
- Managing large transactions and joint venture opportunities, including due diligence, finance, structuring and underwriting
- Corporate acquisitions for the company’s China Branch to facilitate accelerated growth of the underlying business
- Develop a sourcing network
- Perform due diligence, finance, structuring and underwriting
- Conduct research and financial analysis of potential investments, including cash-flow analysis, balance sheet & income statement
- Conduct legal, compliance, entity and operational risk analysis
- Prepare and making final investment recommendations to the Investment Committee
- Manage projects to realize the investment
Sourcing of real estate transactions
- Develop relationships to source new acquisition opportunities
Underwrite transactions
- Prepare financial analysis and risk mitigation measures
- Develop terms and conditions that can be incorporated into appropriate documentation
Direct/Perform Due Diligence for Acquisitions
- Review existing and proposed leases
- Ensure that all items on Due Diligence checklist are completed/satisfactory
- Obtain all required management approvals for transactions
Documentation/Closing Acquisitions
- Independently and/or under the lead acquisitions officer’s direction, negotiate and review closing documents
- Act as key interface & coordinator of transaction with all parties & advisors
- Back-up the lead acquisition officer
- Efficient transfer of acquired properties to asset management
- Involved in the project management of specific fund launches
- Supervise junior staff members/analysts
