This is an absolutely exceptional chance for someone with strong windows, networks and scripting experience and a good personality to work with a global hedge fund, supporting trading systems and learning about financial systems from the ground up. No Japanese is required and salaries will be excellent.

Working with traders in a global hedge fund, this is a really great chance to break into the exciting world of finance.

Or if you have Front Office support experience - its also a chance to work in a hedge fund, salaries will be top notch for support and opportunities to learn and progress will be much better than a large banking environment.

With many opportunities to work on a variety of tasks and many challenges.

Outgoing, eager to learn, eager to take on new responsibilities, strong interest in the IT side of trading and finance. Comfortable working under pressure.

Windows IT Desktop / Administration experience - 3 - 5 years of hand-on troubleshooting experience

Windows XP / Windows 2003 / Windows 2000.

Server / Desktop replication experience

Linux / Unix familiarity -- familiarity with shell and how to navigate / troubleshoot a machine.

Networking Knowledge
tcp/ip concepts
basic router configuration skills,
understanding of trading networks / extranets

Good experience working in a datacenter, familiar with best practices for racking / wiring / managing power.
Programming

VBA, Admin scripting in either a windows or unix environment. Recent programming experience. Language and platform is not that important.
