The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of business applications and project management. He/She will interact with all stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into information systems and projects that will fulfil the Company’s business requirements.

Essential:

1) IT Project Management Experience
- Minimum 3 years of IT project management and application delivery experience, specifically within the financial marketplace (insurance and banking).
- Must have experience of the full project life including preparation of Business cases and Project initiation documentation
- Knowledge of a recognised project methodology such as Prince 2 or PMBOK

2) Development experience
- 6+ years IT working experience
- Have experience in designing and developing all major components within an application, including Data Access Layer, Presentation Layer, Integration Layer, Model (Business) Layer.
- Have experience in designing and developing common components like logging, exception, authentication & authorization.
- Have experience in Agile development: iterative development, automated build, automated unit-test, and automated functional test.
- Have experience in System tests: Stress test, Performance test, Integration test, Long-running test.
- Oracle SQL/PLSQL - good knowledge of SQL, database design
- UML notation for design documentation
- XML and its derivatives (XSL, XML Schema etc.)
- Web Development - understands the concepts around web development and is proficient in web technologies

3) Tool Skill
- MS Project
- Visual Studio 2005
- Subversion or CVS

4) Role Specific Competencies
- Very strong communication skills (including English),
- Must be capable of interacting regularly with all levels of the Business and stakeholder communities
- Team management (task assignment, tracking and quality assessment)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented Leader, to manage and motivate his team
- Strong Analytical and problem solving Skills
- Resolving resource conflicts
- Assessment of delivery milestones (time cost and quality)
- Vendor management.
- Good partner & negotiator must be capable of negotiating with vendors and establishing long term partnerships.
- Trustworthy and reliable,
- Must be capable of building trust and deliver on commitments and promises.
- Project delivery methodology (Prince 2) and project planning (phases, resources and workload estimates).
- Experience with Financial industry.

Preferred:

1) Insurance Business Knowledge
The successful candidate also understands the Insurance Business

2) Language skill
Conversational level of Japanese and English would be a plus.

3) Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree related to Computing or IT
