Day-to-day business application support for production systems - handling system issues, answering user queries and monitoring applications to ensure maximum system uptime. This involves interacting with the business users and IT groups across the region and globally to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
The candidate will be also required to perform some minor development enhancement work.

There are also requirements to assist with User Acceptance Testing during systems rollout.
The candidate will be required to work on a support rota and be in office early morning on shifts and would need to do the occasional weekend work.

The AP FX/MM IT team has members located in Singapore & Tokyo. The candidate will answer to the support manager located in Singapore and will work with team members in both Tokyo and S’pore, as well as with the support & development teams in London on a daily basis.

Experience Required
- 3-5 years experience supporting front-office business applications in a Derivatives business area for a major investment bank.

Skills / Aptitude Required
- Good hands-on working knowledge of Excel, VBA and some C#/.Net.
- Able to carry out some development enhancement work in this area.
- Working knowledge of Relational Databases
- Good hands-on working knowledge of SQL language and stored procedures.
- Working knowledge of the Windows Platform (2000/2003/XP)
- Need to have good level of general derivatives business product knowledge - in particular for FX derivatives.
- Strong analytical and logical skills.
- Ability to resolve issues in a high-pressure & time critical environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive & enthusiastic Team Player.
- Flexible approach to working hours. Need to work on a shift/rota basis and/or weekends as required.
- Ability to learn quickly & independently.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a virtual team, across boundaries (Occasional travel to London or firm’s other offices may be required).

Qualifications/Education Required
- Degree in Computing Sciences or Information System.

Languages
- English, Japanese (A good level of spoken and written Japanese is required).
