
The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating all product strategies and roadmaps to their carrier partners. The Carrier Product Manager will become intimate with the product strategies and plans of the carrier and work to influence the positioning and success of products and services within the carrier’s plans. The incumbent will act as the primary point of contact within Product Management for their carriers. The individual will be interfacing directly with their carrier partners on product requirements, portfolio roadmaps, and product marketing plans. Key to all these responsibilities is the product manager’s ability to manage the relationships between various stakeholder groups at the carrier. The Product Manager will support their carrier to ensure complete understanding of the product offerings and work closely with the carrier create an integrated marketing and product strategy which drives success in the enterprise and retail markets today and tomorrow. The Product Manager will be driving the launch of new products/services, successful in-life programs as well as managing activities involved with end of life.
- A minimum of 3-5 years product management experience directly working with/or within a handset manufacturer or mobile operator preferably responsible for diverse geographies or multiple market segments.
- Experience defining new high technology products/services as well as successfully bringing those products to market.
- Demonstrated understanding of both the technical as well as business issues involved with those product offers.
- Demonstrated capabilities to multi-task in a fast paced environment in both leadership and team roles.
- A broad understanding of market technology trends as they pertain to carriers.
- Strong ability to interface with both customer product teams and internal product teams.
- Capable of communicating fluently in English and Japanese.
