Leading multinational company is looking to hire a DBA with expert knowledge and experience in Oracle 10g RAC implementations. This is a great opportunity to work in a tight-knit IT group that is driven on results, employing people with strong technical skills and innovative thought processes for providing strategic solutions. In this role you will be responsible for the daily performance tuning and optimization, as well as leading the efforts for an Oracle RAC implementation. In this role ideally you will have worked in the full project life cycle of a large, enterprise wide environment, have excellent communication skills, and the desire to make an impact on a results driven database team.
Experience of the following is highly desirable:

-Oracle RAC 10g
-Oracle Data Guard
Knowledge of Application Server, Security or Business Intelligence is valuable. Your experience and proactive approach to database administration will ensure maximum quality of service and database integrity to industry standards and best practices. You should also be a clear and confident communicator in English (Japanese skills are an advantage) and have experience in a busy IT environment.
The role will involve:-
-Perform application and database tuning, performance monitoring and investigative troubleshooting.
-Design, development and testing of backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions
-Staying up to date with the latest in Oracle Technology products and
-Set-up of Oracle environments
-Undertaking installations, upgrades, migrations and patch management.
-Administration of System Management procedures and standards

In this role, you will need: At least 5 years Oracle DBA experience of administration of multiple databases in complex production and support environments. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) status is preferred.
