· Define roadmaps for company’s ERP, Claims Management, e-business and other applications.
· Define the product roadmap, integration architecture, and technical architecture.
· Ensure the roadmap aligns with the global application and product roadmap. The IT Architect will have also have a matrix reporting line into the US HQ’s head of Enterprise Architecture.
· Define technical application architecture.
· Review technical designs to ensure they are scalable, secure, and operable.
· Prototype solutions.
· Evaluate new technology and application proposals.
· Translate business requirements and product vision into application architecture.
· Communicate technical constraints and decisions to the business.
· Develop enterprise architecture artifacts including current state architecture, target state architecture, architectural roadmaps, referential architecture patterns and technology standard.
· Function as a solutions architect within the pre-project phases of an IT program, including the development or oversight of future state designs including technology, solution, information and business architecture.
· Assess the future state architecture for adherence to target state direction, or validate deviation justification and the recovery plans.
· Contribute to the overall alignment of IT delivery to the needs of the business.
· Develop business, information, technical, solution specification documentation.
· Review and assess impact of proposed scope changes to the future state architecture.

· Experience with applications and technology supporting call centers (CRM, work force management, IVR, and call routing systems) and / or fulfillment operations (ERP). Experience with Microsoft products in this area (MS CRM and Axpata Dynamics) would be a significant plus.
· Experience leading small virtual teams.
· BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
· Excellent technical foundation in at least one of the following, with experience in at least two of the following:
o C, C# and .NET technologies, COM / MFC, Database/SQL.
o Delphi, COM, ADO, Database/SQL
o CRM and ERP systems development
· Excellent customer orientation or professional services background. Must show the ability to document, investigate, and discover requirements from ambiguous requests or poorly defined requirements and to build out prototyped solutions to address the requirements.
· Proven leadership skills, with the ability to provide ad hoc team leadership in a focus area
o Proven ability to manage a project team through a customer release milestone
o Capable of applying advanced field knowledge to business decisions and make recommendations
· Ability to handle multiple assignments
· Proven ability to carry a feature from start to finish: including prototypes, design specifications, constructive coding, unit testing, and bug fixing.
· Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and the development of SOA strategies and roadmaps. Must have experience with event driven architecture (EDA). Experience with a formal enterprise architecture framework is a must.
· Technology: Must have experience with the technology architecture and design of n-tiered web based systems, systems integration, and master data management.
· Skills/Abilities: Ability to plan and accomplish goals within a team environment. Candidate must be able to influence others and be able to demonstrate pier leadership skills. Ability to multi-task is required.
· Be able to clearly convey technical ideas to business as well as technology professionals.
· Bi-lingual (speech and written) English and Japanese required.
